Reflections – 2009

December 28, 2009

As we finish out 2009, once again, I can’t believe how fast the year has gone by!  They say the older you get, the faster the years go and I must say this year was no exception.  It has however been wonderful!  I wanted to take a moment just to say how incredibly thankful I am for the amazing blessings of the past year.  This was our first full calendar year at Status Not Quo and it definitely surpassed our expectations.  We had the opportunity to work with some amazing clients and meet wonderful people in the community.  We are very much looking forward to the upcoming year.

During the past year, we have had the opportunity to get involved in several community organizations.  This has introduced us to the most wonderful people.  It can oftentimes be awkward meeting new people and trying to fit into a new group, but I must say that we have been welcomed with “open arms”.  This is part of the reason we love being part of this community.

In regards to clients, we have had several new engagements that have given us the opportunity to work with friends of old.  It’s such a complement to have someone you’ve worked with in the past move on to a new company and then recommend your services to their new employer.  So, I wanted to say thank you for that!

In regards to our partnership, this has been a wonderful blessing as well.  I have two amazing and brilliant partners that both bring wonderful, yet very different, skills to the mix.  This relationship has been one of great communication and mutual respect and once again I find myself very thankful.

So all in all, 2009 has been so great!  I look forward to the many adventures that 2010 has to bring.

I hope that your New Year will be both blessed and prosperous!  In closing, let me leave you with my latest favorite catch phrase.  On the radio program “Enduring Truth”, the speaker quoted the saying ““Determination Without Discipline is Just Dreaming”.   As defined by the Merriam-Webster online dictionary, Determination is “firm intention to achieve a desired end”.  So as you make your New Year’s Resolutions this week, I encourage you to remember the Discipline and go out and make 2010 the BEST YEAR EVER!

Happy New Year and many Blessings to You and Yours!
